The Fadjur-Spark-Ali Jamaal Cross:

SS Atilgan was named for his bold movement. The word "atilgan" is Turkish for "the one who goes bravely forward." He is by QR Excel, a Magic Dream son to which we out-crossed several of our mares in 2001. His dam, SS Alexandrea, is one of our favorite mares by SS Alexander, which was one of our very tall, beautiful, and always spirited Spark sons. SS Alexander helped Spark win the "Get of Sire" class in Scottsdale in 1990 and then went on to win various top ten and top three awards in his own halter classes. SS Atilgan represents the best characteristics from each of his ascendants, despite their varied origins. SS Atilgan is a very correct, big-moving horse with a lot of type. We estimate that he is about 16 hands, although we have not yet measured him. His extreme size, type, pleasant temperament, and correct conformation appear to be passing on to his foals without exception. So far, we have bred SS Atilgan two consecutive years (2006 and 2007)--some of the foals are shown in the slideshow above. Perhaps as a testiment of our linebreeding so extensively to Kuhailan Haifi, all of SS Atilgan's foals have turned out to be bay or black/bay. We have 12 very typey, conformationally correct fillies and colts available, and they are all for sale. Please contact us for a sales list or package information. We also have siblings of SS Atilgan available (by QR Excel out of our Witraz-bred mares), including a black stallion named SS Onyxcel. We do not have many pictures of him on this page because we have not, yet, had an official photo session with him. You can see in the image above, however, that he is not too vain to pose for the camera while covered heat to tail in mud! We will update his page as we get more photos. |
