Sabankaya Foals: The goal of our breeding program is to create foals with strong, correct bodies, efficient, balanced gates, pleasant temperaments, and the exceptional aesthetic beauty for which the Arabian breed is known. One of the advantages of owning such a large population is having the opportunity to study the resulting offspring of various bloodlines, focusing mainly on those of the Kuhailan type (often bay or black, with large withers, nostrils, joints, and expressive eyes, short backs, deep heartgirth, hard, heavy hooves, small, tight, hooky ears, high tail set and carriage, long hip, thin, clean throatlatch, high quality coat, and long mane and forelock). Even within the same family lines, we have come to identify those individuals who not only carry these valuable characterstics, but who also pass them on to their foals with unsurpassed consistancy; this means that our horses can be introduced with confidence into anyone's breeding program to produce high quality foals.
Below is a menu of our foal crops from each year, beginning with the most recent. Clicking on the picture/year you are interested in will take you to the appropriate page. As the website grows, we will continue to add photographs and information about the foals of more and more years, going all the way back to 1976. There will also be links for each horse to show how they have developed into adulthood.
