Above is a family photograph with SS Diamond on the right and Last Dansk (Gdansk x Arista Blanca by Ariston) and their 2008 filly, SS Gdiamond, on the left. He looks very happy in this picture--perhaps he knows that he has earned himself a position in our breeding program, here at Sabankaya Select.

To the left is a close-up of SS Gdiamond (click on her name to see her pedigree and more pictures of her). There are six foals to date (click here to see a list), and needless to say, we are more than happy with his first foal crop. In fact, at the age of 13 years old, we are wondering why we hadn't used SS Diamond sooner.

SS Diamond's pedigree contains two lines to Gdansk, one to Ariston, one to *Sambor, and twice Wielki Szlem PASB. His tail-female line goes back to Imatra PASB. He is genotypically Pure Polish of the classical type. Phenotypically, he looks more like Comet PASB than any other horse we've seen. He has a strong, solid topline that allows him to collect himself naturally as he moves along. We haven't had an official photo-shoot with him, yet, so there will be more pictures to come.

Granted, he's a little muddy here, but we wanted you to see the proportions of his body in as many angles as possible until we have an official photo shoot with him.

Above is one of SS Diamond's 2008 grey fillies, SS Diamonita, by SS Dorothy (*Karadjordje x Dazsel by Ariston). As a testiment to the high quality breeding and natural, healthy environment of the mountains, I don't think we've ever seen her with her neck or tail down. Bouncing here and there, playing with the other foals and chasing the poor dog in circles, she's turned on all of the time.
